My Approach

IFS and Somatic
Therapy

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS helps us understand the different parts within you.

Examples include:

  • the perfectionist

  • the inner critic

  • the people pleaser

  • the anxious part

  • the part that always wants to stay in control

These parts often developed to protect you, even if their strategies are no longer serving you today.

somatich therapy

Your body holds experiences, emotions and patterns of stress.

Through greater body awareness, you can learn to:

  • recognize signals earlier

  • regulate stress and tension

  • feel more grounded

  • reconnect with your needs

  • develop greater self-trust

Sometimes the mind understands, but the body still holds on — because we can’t always think our way out of what we feel.

Therapy That Goes Beyond Talking - Insight alone is often not enough for lasting change.

Many forms of therapy focus primarily on thoughts and the intellectual mind.

That is why my work with IFS and somatic therapy focuses on the connection between mind, body and emotions.

I support you on your path to healing.
let's do this together...

You may already understand some of your patterns and still find yourself feeling stuck.

That’s because lasting change isn’t only about understanding yourself differently. It’s also about creating change in the places where those patterns are held, in your emotions, your body, and your nervous system.

My approach combines Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic therapy.

Through IFS, we explore the beliefs, protective patterns, and inner parts that influence how you feel and how you relate to yourself and others.

Alongside this, somatic therapy helps us pay attention to what is happening in your body. Stress, anxiety, and past experiences don’t only live in your thoughts. They can also be carried in the body and nervous system.

Together, these approaches can help you better understand yourself, develop greater self-compassion, and create space for lasting change.

This way of working is shaped not only by my professional training and experience, but also by my own journey towards greater calm, self-trust, and connection with myself.

Wat is IFS?

You Understand Your Patterns. So Why Do They Keep Showing Up?

You spend a lot of time thinking and analysing. You’re hard on yourself. You find it difficult to set boundaries, or you keep pushing yourself even when you’re exhausted.

Perhaps you’ve already tried many things. You’ve read books, listened to podcasts, or had meaningful conversations. Yet you notice the same patterns returning again and again.

That doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you.

Many patterns don’t only live in your thoughts. They also exist in your emotions, your body, and the ways you’ve learned to protect yourself.

You May Recognise These Patterns

  • You spend a lot of time thinking and analysing.

  • You struggle to quiet your mind and find mental rest.

  • You are hard on yourself and often feel that you’re not doing enough.

  • You find it difficult to set healthy boundaries.

  • You take care of others but often neglect your own needs.

  • You frequently feel tense, stressed, or restless.

  • You find it difficult to truly relax, even when you have time to rest.

  • You keep finding yourself caught in the same patterns.

Why Insight Alone Isn’t Always Enough

Many people already understand why they struggle with anxiety, stress, self-doubt, or perfectionism.

But understanding a pattern doesn’t automatically change it.

When these patterns have been present for a long time, your body and nervous system often respond automatically.

That’s why we don’t only explore what you think. We also pay attention to what you feel, what happens in your body, and the experiences you’ve been carrying with you.
